For years, members of the pragmatic dharma community have maintained public journals about their meditation practice. Public practice logs are an opportunity to receive advice and enjoy a sense of community during the long and complicated insight meditation journey. It's also a way to grow humanity's collective knowledge about this mysterious developmental process.
I collected these logs from the Dharma Overground and Kenneth Folk Dharma, two online forums, and labelled them using Claude Sonnet 5. The labels contain diagnostic conclusions, but you should not believe them outright, because the AI labeller lacks expertise, and drawing diagnostic conclusions from forum posts is difficult for anybody. The diagnostic criteria are from Daniel Ingram's Mastering the Core Teachings of the Buddha and do not reflect the traditional criteria of sutra Buddhism.

The script excludes logs where the author expressly opts out of AI processing or expresses a preference to keep the log private. Please contact me at johnduality0@gmail.com if you would like your log removed from this page.
If you have a meditation practice, consider starting a log. I've found it tremendously helpful and enjoyable.
